Looking to accelerate its transition to a low-carbon future, financial services pioneer, Wells Fargo, partnered with Ameresco to install nearly 100 solar PV arrays in retail and corporate locations in AZ, CA, CT, IA, MN, NJ, NC & TX. Using a combination of rooftop and ground mount systems, the 30MW of new onsite solar furthers Wells Fargo’s efforts to support the renewable resources development in locations where its energy needs are the greatest. The project also delivers community benefits such as job creation, tax revenue, and grid resiliency in the locations where customers and employees live and work.

With a demonstrated ability to deliver a broad scope of services across multiple project types, locations and regulatory frameworks, Ameresco was chosen by Wells Fargo to partner on this complex and innovative project. The 30MW of onsite solar included a combination of rooftop and ground mount solar at nearly 100 properties including:
- 6 kW rooftop array at a branch in Connecticut
- 6.5 MW carport and rooftop system at Wells Fargo’s Chandler, AZ campus
- 5.5 MW combination rooftop/ground mount system at property in San Antonio, TX
- 2 MW ground mount system adjacent to a Wells Fargo campus in Des Moines, IA
