Small Business Opportunities
Ameresco recognizes that providing competitive opportunities for small businesses supports our national economy and the enterprise system in which we operate. Additionally, broad-based competition contributes to our goal of providing the highest quality services at competitive prices. Ameresco affords small businesses ample opportunity to compete for subcontracted work and to supply materials and equipment. We maintain a small business subcontractor and supplier resource listing at our Federal offices.
Ameresco continuously identifies, recruits, and qualifies small and disadvantaged businesses through a variety of means, including participation with small, small disadvantaged, and minority business associations and providing advice and assistance to small, small disadvantaged, and woman-owned small firms seeking to do business with Ameresco.
Working with Ameresco
All interested subcontractor and supplier firms must complete a COMPASS prequalification package before bidding with Ameresco. Visit https://compass.bespokemetrics.com to get started.
This provides a concise format for review of a company’s capabilities, certifications, and experiences. The SOQ includes questions on the candidate’s small business certifications (the subcontractor must provide proof of any qualifying certifications claimed), organizational structure, a financial risk profile, experience, and capabilities in selected target markets, contract practices, recent project history, and references.
Ameresco invites identified contractors to bid on upcoming work. Details on active opportunities are available via the link on this webpage. Successful prequalified bidders will be selected on the basis of completeness of scope, added value, innovation, and price. Ameresco ensures that small businesses engaged meet Ameresco’s commitments to safety, quality, schedule, labor standards, and cooperation with the client.
Our goal is not only to complete the work, but to enhance the capability of the SB, SDB, WOSB, HZSB, VOSB, and SDVOSB companies so they can remain or become viable members of the contracting community. Ameresco will assist our small business subcontractors and suppliers as necessary to ensure our mutual success.
If your firm is prequalified and an active opportunity is of interest, please send us an email at [email protected]. If your firm is not yet prequalified, please complete a COMPASS prequalification package to get started.
