Assembly Member O’Donnell has introduced AB 48 which places a $13 billion
statewide school bond on the 2020 and 2022 ballots, and includes new programs
and provisions for the School Facility Program (SFP). This bill also includes a
future bond in 2022.
Affordable housing proposals are being discussed in the legislature that could
have signifi cant implications for schools. New state requirements related to
drinking water quality, storm water, indoor air quality, use of herbicides such
as RoundUp, energy effi ciency and wildfi re smoke. The CASH Fall Conference
2019 will focus on providing the most recent information and these and other
key issues for the school facilities and maintenance community.
