Ameresco to build $8M microgrid project in New Brunswick
Ameresco, a Framingham-based company specializing in energy resiliency projects, is working with a city in New Brunswick, Canada, to construct a microgrid project involving what the company says will be the largest rooftop solar installation in Atlantic Canada.
The SOLSTICE microgrid project, which will involve a solar installation with a 1-megawatt capacity and a 2 megawatt-hour battery energy storage system, will help the City of Edmundston enhance the resilience of its power grid and meet peak energy demands, according to an Ameresco press release issued Tuesday.
