Ameresco, CCI BioEnergy and Quantum Biopower Honored for Their Role In Advancing A Powerful Climate Strategy:  the Ultra-Low Carbon Fuel Renewable Natural Gas from Organic Waste

NEW YORK, Oct. 18, 2017 — Today is National Bioenergy Energy Day, which highlights the use of organic materials to generate energy. Coinciding with it, the non-profit Energy Vision announced awards to three innovative companies advancing renewable natural gas (RNG) made from organic waste: Ameresco, Quantum Biopower, and CCI Bioenergy.

In Arizona, Ameresco worked with PhoenixTempeMesaScottsdale and Glendale to develop/design/build/own/operate a wastewater treatment biogas facility to serve the region:  Phoenix’s 91st Ave Wastewater Treatment Plant.  It will be the largest wastewater treatment biogas-to-RNG facility in the U.S., with enough RNG capacity to displace more than four million gallons of diesel annually.
