The Green Business Forum at Rhode Island College and Renew Energy Initiative (REI) look forward to seeing you at a free panel discussion on Environmentally Sustainable Business Practices at Health Care Facilities in Rhode Island.
While the state of health care in the United States is in tremendous flux, expanding opportunities exist for health care institutions to provide leadership in the implementation of sustainable business practices. This forum will examine sustainable business practices in health care as well as business opportunities these practices create for organizations in energy-related and sustainable industries. It will demonstrate the many ways in which health care institutions have pioneered new approaches to renewable energy and energy efficiency, changing the culture of these institutions while underpinning the connection between human health and environmental sustainability.
Panelists will include:
- Monica Anderson, Director of Community Relations and Corporate Citizenship at Lifespan
- David Bordieri, Waste Prevention Coordinator at Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation
- Kleo Thaliadouros, Director of Development at Ameresco, Inc.
- Melissa Travis, Commercial Sales Director at HealthSource RI for Employers.
Dr. Jeff Mello, Dean of the School of Business at RIC will moderate the panel discussion.
