Set the PACE is a program that uses PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) financing to help commercial, industrial, homeowners, and multi-family property owners access affordable, long-term financing for smart energy upgrades to their buildings. PACE financing is designed to encourage the installation of energy efficiency measures by helping property owners overcome the barrier of high up-front energy equipment and installation costs. PACE financing allows building owners to finance qualifying energy efficiency and clean energy improvements through a voluntary tax assessment. Property owners pay for the improvements over time and the repayment obligation transfers automatically to the next owner if the property is sold.
