Building Community Resilience with Microgrids

In response to human and non-human emergency conditions, microgrids can serve as a tool to build resilience within a community’s critical infrastructure to assure essential services to the public as well as a level of business continuity. The session will begin with a discussion of best practices on developing microgrid deployment plans within a community. Experts will discuss analytical methods for the development and deployment of microgrids complimented with case studies of projects at different levels to highlight the importance of collaboration amongst individual end-use customers, utilities and local governments.
